Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on a four-nation tour of Africa

Jack Dorsey, the CEO and co-founder of Twitter, is on a four-nation, month-long tour of the African continent.

In a tweet on Friday, Dorsey said: “Headed to Africa for all of November! Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. Going to spend a lot of time with entrepreneurs…”

The tweet included a photo of Dorsey with various African entrepreneurs — Getnet Aseffa, CEO of artificial intelligence research and development company iCog Labs in Addis Ababa; Betelhem Dessie, also of iCog; and Noel Kudu, co-founder of Kudu Ventures, co-founder of African Tech Got Next and founder of Network to Networth.

Dorsey did not say which entrepreneurs he plans to meet with in South Africa or long he’d be in the country for.

Dorsey co-founded Twitter in 2006 with Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass. The platform has more than 300 million users worldwide.

He is also founder and CEO of mobile payments company Square.
