South Africa’s Bltizboks are top seeds for this year’s Tusker Safari Sevens taking place on Mashujaa Day weekend at Nairobi’s RFUEA Ground. They have been grouped in Pool A with Uganda, Kenya Morans and Burundi.
Defending Champions Samurai Rugby headline Pool B where they have been pitted against South Africa’s Western Province, Russian side Narvskaya Zastava and invitational side Red Wailers.
Last year’s beaten finalists Kenya Shujaa, South Africa’s Blue Bulls, Russia Academy and Zambia make up Pool C while Spain, Zimbabwe, French team Seventise and the 2019 Stanbic Bank National Sevens Circuit Champions KCB make up Pool D.
KRU Chairman Oduor Gangla, speaking at the tournament draw in Nairobi on Wednesday morning said, “We appreciate Tusker Lager for their support towards rugby over the years and for always ensuring the fans have the best experience during tournaments. We also have several other partners who are working with us to ensure the tournament is a success,” said Oduor Gangla.
