Comedian and actor Njugush, real name Timothy Njuguna, on Saturday won the Africa Digital Influencer of the Year category in the 2020 Africa Digital Awards.
Njugush, who rose to fame in Real Househelps of Kawangware sitcom, thanked his fans and family after he won the title.

Njugush beat different nominees across the continent, among them Kwadwo Sheldoh from Ghana, Lasizwe from South Africa, Linda Ikeji from Nigeria and Edith Yoh from Cote D’Ivoire.
He was also named as one of the 100 most influential young Africans in 2020. The annual Africa Digital Awards are meant to recognise innovation, technology and creativity across multiple areas of an ever-evolving sector in the continent.
Njugush currently publishes his skits, many sponsored by various brands, on his social media pages and is also currently on Abel Mutua’s Andakava currently running on Maisha Magic East.
