In 2016, the sassy news reporter was in hot soup after she came out openly about her relationship with a married soldier, captivating the Ugandan blogosphere.
Ezra who has one child with his previous wife Babra, had been painting Kampala red with Sheila to the annoyance of the man’s first wife Babra. The woman had threatened to teach a lesson to Sheila.
Sheila met Ezra when she was still a reporter for Red pepper in Mbarara. By then, Ezra was also a journalist who worked with her. When they both relocated to Kampala, they went separate ways and again met when Sheila was covering presidential elections in 2015 and rekindled their friendship.
Ezra didn’t tell Sheila that he was already married. When we talked to Sheila by then, she told us she didn’t know Ezra was married.
Sheila has previously worked in Kenya with NTV, the sister station to Uganda’s NTV Uganda. Both stations belong to the giant media house Nation Media Group.
