Former Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohamed has dismissed social media reports that he has joined K24.
The celebrated TV host has been a subject of several social media posts and rumours over the weekend that he will be joining the station owned by MediaMax, that was previously owned by the Kenyatta family. The rumours started circulating hours after Anne Kiguta announced that she has stopped working at K24 over differences on the content of her show, The Punchline.
Several Facebook post had shared an image of a poster with Hussein Mohammed’s image with ‘Coming Soon’ on it and a logo of the station suggesting that he would be unveiled soon at the media house.
The hard-hitting news host tweeted a message asking his fans and the public to disregard the poster.
Please treat this as fake. You’ll hear it from me soon enough whether or not I’ll be coming back to TV or any other platform. Mafans ninawapenda wo…wote! pic.twitter.com/xN9zYEK9r0
